What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.

Why "Avatar of Woe"?
Avatar of Woe is a name of my favorite Magic, the Gathering card. I�ve actually lost it, but once I�ve seen this picture of Nataku and Karen, I instantly knew that this was the TRUE Avatar of Woe.

Why "Somewhere I belong"?

"Somewhere I belong" is the name of the song by one of my favorite bands, Linkin Park. I really like it, and think , that in a way, it can be related to Nataku, because he is looking for a family, for "somewhere he belongs"�.

Nataku
A long time ago, there was a little girl called Kazuki, who had a fate to be involved in the End of the World. But Kazuki died, and her grandfather promised to bring her back to life. From her DNA he managed to create Nataku, artificial, sexless lifeform. He believes Nataku to be totally heartless too. Nataku inherited Kazuki�s fate.

But despite appearing to look like an adult, Nataku is just a child. He has Kazuki�s memory, in which he remembers her father- the man Kazuki loved the most. By strange coincidence, Fuuma seems to look a lot like that man. Nataku starts to consider Fuuma to be his "father" , and grows very attached to him.

Nataku doesn�t understand the mission of Dragons of the Earth, but joined them because he was told so. He steals the Holy Sword because he was ordered to do that too.

When he joins Fuuma, Nataku doesn�t want to leave him, and now does whatever Fuuma, his "father", tells him to do. He demolishes the lab he was created in under Fuuma�s orders, not understanding that killing is wrong.

Having mind of a child, he is really incapable to understand much by himself, and since no one sees a child in him and explains anything to him, he just does what he is told to do. He even thinks he is emotionless just because he was told so in the lab.

However there seems to be one person, who sees a child in him- Karen��.

Kazumi Karen
Karen had a tough life. When her mother found out that Karen could make fire out of nowhere, she killed herself. Different sects found out about her powers, and started to hunt for her. She tried working in many different places, avoiding people as much as possible. Finally she settled in the soapland "Flower"- a place where no one asked questions about her past, and where she could leave with no troubles.

Karen is great friends with Seiichiro Aoki , because he was the first person in her life to treat her normally.

Karen also is really worried about a "child" she once meet. A child with sad eyes. And that child is �.. Nataku.

Why Nataku and Karen?
We all know that Nataku thinks of Fuuma as his father. Well, Nataku thinks of Karen as the Mother!
They�ve first meet in the end of X13, when Nataku was derailing the Yamato train line, and Karen came to stop him. She saw something in Nataku no one else saw- a little abandoned child. Later on they meet again. Nataku doesn�t want to fight Karen. She talks to him, explains him about humans, the mission of Angels , feelings, and proves to him that he has a heart too. Nataku ends up protecting Karen from Fuuma, because he knew that Karen was no match for "Kamui".
Fuuma kills Nataku, and on the picture that I used for the layout you can see Karen crying over the dead body of a child, who had just saved her life.
After this, no one should DARE to say that Nataku is just a heartless clone!!! T_T

My name is Asha-Lirael, and I�ve created this fanlisting. You might have noticed, that English is not my first language (I�m sorry for all the grammar and spelling errors I might have made!). I�m Russian, but lived to years in America.
I really like anime, especially X, Weiss Kreuz, Lawful Drug, Angel Sanctuary, Magic Knight RayEarth, Card Captor Sakura and many others.
I like reading science fiction and fantasy. My favorite is Garth Nix - Shade�s Children, Abhorsen, Mister Monday, the Seventh Tower and of course Lirael (hence the name).
